Il commissario Montalbano: Il sorriso di Angelica

The literary reference finds a modern incarnation precisely in Angelica Cosulich, the seductive and mischievous character played by Margareth Madè , who immediately attempts to seduce Salvo Montalbano ( Luca Zingaretti ) during an investigation into a series of thefts that occurred against a circle of rich friends of Vigata.

The thirty-year-old bank employee arrived in the village for six months and immediately became part of the local elite, apparently impeccable but full of unspeakable secrets. The gang of thieves leaves their signature in the robbed villas as if to throw a gauntlet to Montalbano. The frustration of always being one step behind the criminals wears the commissioner down to take him to take some shortcuts in the investigation and ask for the help of his trusted journalist friend Nicolò Zito ( Roberto Nobile ). Meanwhile, Angelica's brazen courtship leads the protagonist into temptation, also thanks to the absence of his girlfriend Livia, still in Genoa for work.
