The Chosen

Judea, 1st century. A hustler fisherman drowning in debt; a battered woman trapped by her own demons, a young tax collector ostracized by his family for working for the Romans, and an influential Jewish ruler who questions everything he had believed to be true until now... The lives of these and other people take a radical turn when they meet a mysterious man rumored to heal the sick, befriend the poor, and speak openly about bringing liberation to a people weary of the oppressive power of the Romans.
