Theatrical agent Lionel Q Devereaux manages Brazilian firebrand Carmen Novarro, and to double his commission, he gets her to pose as French chanteuse Mlle Fifi at the same nightclub. Unfortunately, matters get complicated when the club's owner falls in love with one of the incarnations, leading to misunderstandings galore.
