After growing up living a life of crime, outlaw Sam Weller decides to go straight, but neither Sam's father, Trench, nor his thieving cohort, Charlie Whitman, take the news well. After Sam invests in a way station with his friend, Luke Ram, Trench and Whitman convince a band of Sioux warriors to attack the station. Although Simon eventually forges a peace agreement with the Sioux, a final battle with Trench looms on the horizon.
