SADRžAJ

This is a story of the origin of life, a story of Mother Nature, a story through time and civilizations. This is a story of man and his surroundings, this is story of a journey through the senses, this is... Water Stories. "Water Stories" is the diary of a trip, of a search for answers to questions that arise around water: What would life be like without water? How do we relate to rivers or seas? How has this element conditioned, and does condition, the landscape, our choice of settlement, our economy? In what way have different civilizations approached the liquid element? How has it influenced you? What lessons do we get from that today? What will the future be like, our future? There are more questions, some are arising as we move, from east to west of southern Spain, from the source of the Guadalquivir to its mouth. Although it is not a film about the river, it serves as a plot axis that articulates the route, in the same way that the Rio Grande articulates this region, cutting it diagonally. The trip is full of stories related to water, flora and fauna, traditions and festivals, crafts, economy, architecture, sports and history and how to live without water, with water, by, for, on, under and from the water. And of its people, who together with the landscape, are the true protagonists of this audiovisual newspaper. And running through the entire documentary, like a fine rain, like a lens we use to focus on what we are approaching, the importance of the environment. Without water there is no life, and in this part of the world there is a lot of water. Water, like energy, is neither created nor destroyed, it transforms, from one state to another, the difficult thing is in the balance. If it is disturbed, its consequences can be tremendous, which is why it is a good indicator of climate change. For that reason and because it is the best terrestrial temperature meter. The purpose of this documentary is to entertain, inform and educate, to make us reflect on how lucky we are when drinking water comes out when the tap turns on. Show the special hydrography of this place with landscapes that oscillate between arid deserts and perpetual snows, mighty and calm rivers, and other short and rapids that descend like a torrent. This coastline is bathed by a sea and an ocean and its subsoil is pierced by caves, springs and underground water caves.
