John Varty is a carrying out a wild experiment in South Africa to build a breeding population of "wild" self sufficient tigers. While he is doing this he is filming and obtaining astonishing footage of the intimate life of tigers, that has never before been witnessed. His hope is that while tigers continue to disappear in the wild, that he is creating a small resevoir of tigers that can take care of themselves... on an alien continent. So far he has 18 tigers.
