Krusty sucht für seine Show einen neuen Krusketeer. Alle Kinder bewerben sich mit Begeisterung, schließlich macht Nelson das Rennen. Weil Bart darüber enttäuscht ist, versucht Lisa Krusty zu überreden, Bart als Praktikant einzustellen. Allerdings ist dieser von Lisa selbst begeistert und stellt sie ein. Lisa spielt sich nach und nach in den Vordergrund und wird selbst zum gefeierten Star.
