Drama showing the realities of life in an East End hospital a century ago, a time of revolution and social unrest. In the wake of an explosion, the staff struggles to control the angry victims, and when detectives arrive in the building, Eva Luckes fears the hospital is in danger of becoming an extension of Scotland Yard.
