INHALT

U mirnom malom vrtiću živi Izabela, lijepa krčmareva kći koja provodi svoje dane među knjigama I sa svojim prijateljem Rokom. Roko je zgodan mladić koji je bio zaljubljen u Izabelu.

Jednog dana nakon misteriozne smrti grofa Umberta, Đulijo stiže u grad zajedno sa svojom majkom i pronalazi utočište kod barona Andriforleis i njegove žene Barbare. Umberto je bio Đulijev otac kojeg su revolucionari ubili uoči pobune. Izabela, Roko i Đulijo će formirati trougao prijateljstva i ljubavi. Nakon nekog vremena oni se razilaze i svako odlazi za svojom sudbinom, i kasnije se ponovo sastaju u Rimu da razmjene iskustva, avanture i tajne.
