Nearly a decade later the case that propelled the now flourishing careers of Meg and her boss and lover, District Attorney Ray Voss, is raising new questions, leading to the release of an irate McCauley. As William battles to clear his name, Meg and Ray seek to unearth the lost facts and witnesses of the case. WhenMeg starts investigating McCauleys abandoned restaurant new suspicions are raised as money and mobsters become linked to the murder. Meg finds there are few she can trust as the motives of all those close to her and the case are brought into question.
