OBSAH

Luz María is 13 years old, she lives in the indigenous community of Loma Ancha in the conflicting Mexican state of Oaxaca. To get to school, where they receive a bilingual education in Spanish and Triqui (their mother tongue), Luz María, her sister Araceli and her cousin Yahir daily undertake a 4.4 kilometers journey. During a two hours and a half trip they go through ups and downs and face vertiginous slopes. They go from one mountain to another by narrow paths, eroded earth, a mighty river, rattlesnakes and other predators, landslides, and a highway of cars going at high speed.
