A charming thug, Benji Veniaman, is hired to execute Mark Moran's killer. But when Benji is insulted by the Carton Crew, he forms a dangerous friendship with their rival, Carl Williams. Steve and Jacqui's police instincts are tested when they try to disprove a killer's alibi. The police realise there's a monster on the loose when a criminal is shot dead multiple times.
