The wildlife on the great plains of Africa, Asia, North America and the Arctic, which cover a quarter of the land on Earth. The distinctive Tibetan fox is captured on film for the first time, while a herd of caribou migrates 2,000 miles across the tundra in search of grass. Night vision equipment tracks a pride of 30 lions hunting elephants in the tropical African savannah near one of the region's few remaining waterholes. Presented by David Attenborough.
