POVZETEK

Anna je še vedno pretresena zaradi posilstva. Povsem očitno je, da je z njo nekaj narobe. Gospod Green se medtem obnaša, kot da se ni nič zgodilo. Ga. Hughes jo prepričuje, naj gre na policijo, toda Anna se boji, da bo Bates ubil Greena in da ga bodo zato obesili. Edna pove Bransonu, da je morda noseča, zato ga sili, naj se poroči z njo. Isobel počasi prihaja iz svojega oklepa. Mary, Branson, Rose in Anna se odpravijo k Lady Rosamind v London, kjer Mary spet sreča Tonyja Gillinghama.
