From the Zugspitze to the North Sea or Berlin – every edition of Check-in presents a different region in Germany. Hosts Nicole Frölich and Lukas Stege take it in turns to discover the local tourist attractions and explore the sights. They go climbing, diving or hiking and try out the local culinary specialties.
Check-in also looks at exciting destinations in other countries. Travel blogger Steve Hänisch travels the world, reporting from Newfoundland in Canada, Ecuador or Finland for our Globetrotter series. Steve also meets up with a local who show him their region’s tourist attractions for the show’s Meet a Local slot. Each show also features a video that has been sent in by one of our viewers, featuring their favorite vacation trip.
And finally, Check-in also presents a different European highlight every week, from the Eifel Tower in Paris to the Colosseum in Rome.
