An all-female dream holiday in Costa Smeralda - experienced through the eyes of three attractive young girls, Silvia (Eleonora Pedron ), Luana (Francesca Cavallin ) and Elena (Benedetta Valanzano ) who "park" their boyfriends at the campsite and live winking and glossy adventures catapulting into a reality unknown to them among fabulous yachts, designer boutiques and glamorous parties, in direct contact with the world of celebrity VIPs. A perhaps excessive reality, indisputably magnetic, radiating pomp and metaphysical sparkles. But all that glitters is not gold.

Jerry Calà is a famous comic actor of the great Italian comedy age of Italian cinema, when going to the cinema to enjoy a good Italian film was a certainty and not a miracle, when Jerry was always there in the front row to entertain us with skill and good taste.

Cala describes today's youth, and with it the same society, pretending to be respectable and drifting in values, enjoyable and superficial, uninhibited and selfish in paying attention only to the point, aimed at reaching the maximum result with minimum effort.

A raw vision, light years away from the whiteness and magical atmospheres of "Sapore di Mare", but that of Jerry Calà is a curated and realistic examination, in step with the times and therefore deeply original.

Young people recognize themselves in it. Society has changed and Calà shows it to us with care and creativity, underlining its limits. He criticizes without showing himself as critical as only a shrewd good director and screenwriter can do.

For female talent, Cala chooses the beauty of the three protagonists Eleonora Pedron , Francesca Cavallin and Benedetta Valanzano, actresses neither famous nor navigated, however more than acceptable from a technical point of view; very nice and definitely at ease in the role of the three protagonists of Vita Smeralda.

The screenplay, co-written with Gino Capone, is smooth and accurate in following the logical thread of pleasant entertainment seasoned with realistic food for thought. With wise and captivating thinking, Calà is particularly skilled and at ease behind the camera

But let's come to him, the actor Calà - Jerry Calà returns to acting on the screen after seven years since the umpteenth successful experience of Carlo Vanzina's "1960s", and he does it in his own way, that is, with great spirit and exuberance, good taste, flawless comedic timing and many really strong jokes. Calà is the true soul of the film, in front of and behind the camera. He attracts attention by pulling the film, he risks himself and wins his bet, making us have fun with knowledge and skill and also achieving excellent results at the box office.
