SYNOPSIS

Dans les années 1970 aux Etats-Unis, Phyllis Schlafly, avocate et mère au foyer modèle de six enfants, est également une activiste conservatrice. Elle va prendre la tête d'un mouvement visant à empêcher la ratification d'un amendement qui vise à garantir l'égalité des droits entre les sexes. Phyllis Schlafly déchaîne alors la colère des féministes, emmenées par leur leaders Gloria Steinem et Betty Friedan..
