SYNOPSIS

The garden makeover team are in bustling Hackney, East London, this week as Alan Titchmarsh surprises the Cariazo family. Nurses Jeroume and Onessa are the utterly devoted parents of nine-year-old Elijah. The wheelchair-bound only child suffers from myotubular myopathy, a rare genetic condition that weakens the muscles to such a degree that even breathing and swallowing are a constant challenge.
