Peter McDougall broke new ground with plays that represented working class Scotland warts and all. "Shoot for the Sun' got under the skin of 80s Edinburgh, while `Jute City' featured Thatcherite criminals in Dundee, and `The Steamie" presented a nostalgic look back to a vanished Glasgow.
