SYNOPSIS

The new "Polizeiruf 110" duo of Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg takes up the investigation together for the first time in "Hilde's Legacy". New to Adam Raczek is detective inspector trainee Vincent Ross, fresh out of police academy with his own world views and working methods. Before his first day at work, he is involved in a murder investigation. Ironically, the 22-year-old Bastian Grutzke was murdered above his new apartment in Slubice. The German student who had helped Vincent move in the day before. Adam Raczek, who is interviewing witnesses at the scene of the crime, is amazed to get to know his new colleague in this way. The traces in the victim's apartment point to a dispute that seems to be related to escalating inheritance disputes in the Grutzke family. Bastian's grandmother, Hilde Grutzke, the "matriarch" of the family, keeps a considerable amount of cash in bags in her house and will open the door at shotgun point. The relationship with her family and especially with her son Ulf is tense and extremely distant. She had no contact at all with her grandson Bastian until shortly before his death. And her granddaughter Emma is also isolated and only had a close bond with her brother Bastian.
