SYNOPSIS

A Tardigrade is an aquatic micro-animal measuring around 1mm long. In 2007 some of them were sent into space on the outside of a rocket. They were exposed to the sun’s radiation and the airless vacuum for 10 days. Remarkably, many of these space voyagers survived.
