Le sourire des femmes

SYNOPSIS

Parisian publisher Jean-Paul Monsignac's chief editor is inspired to write his first novel, 'The smiling of women', but pretends it's a translation from a fictional English author, Robert Miller. Only his dodgy unhappily married buddy Adam Goldberg knows the truth and that it's romantically inspired by a single fleeting meeting with local restaurant chef Aurélie Bredin. When she accidentally discovers in a bookshop the lead character Sophie is her, she contacts the publisher demanding to meet the author. As the novel was an instant bestseller, André and Adam had to hire actor Caesar to enact Robert Miller and André, who is secretly in love with Aurélie, twists in all directions to frustrate neither her, his love nor his employer, which seems to wok out disastrous in all respects.
