SYNOPSIS

Col William Orlando Darby founded the US Rangers, an elite squad trained, like Britain's Commandos, to be deployed behind enemy lines in the Second World War. From the initial resistance to his ideas through to the Rangers' deployment in Sicily, mainland Italy and North Africa, the film follows their increasing successes.
