Documentary filmmaker and mountaineer Eliza Kubarska travels to the foot of K2, the second highest mountain in the world with Hania Piotrowska, Łukasz Wolf, Lindsay and Chris Tullissets in tow. They follow the same road their parents - celebrated Himalayan climbers - Tadeusz Piotrowski, Dobrosława Miodowicz-Wolf and Julie Tullis walked in 1986. They never returned home. Their children find their graves at the foot of K2. Hania, Łukasz, Lindsay and Chris follow the same road which took their beloved away from them. They must challenge the past; try to comprehend what seduced their parents. The documentary features intimate archival footage from the 1980s. During the expedition, the director who is also one of the characters, asks herself these vital questions: Is her passion worth such big risk? Should she have a child as a mountaineer?
