SYNOPSIS

A new apprentice to an eccentric vet in the Yorkshire Dales quickly discovers life in the country is not as idyllic as he thought. However, as he finds his feet, the newcomer begins to romance the daughter of a local farmer. Drama based on the series of books by James Herriot, starring Simon Ward, Anthony Hopkins, Lisa Harrow, Freddie Jones and TP McKenna.
