SYNOPSIS

British intelligence hunts for a mole in the ministry of defence who has been leaking secrets to the Soviets, with the intention of having him quietly assassinated. A mid-level bureaucrat gets caught up in the search, and finds his past deeds returning to haunt him. Espionage thriller based on Graham Greene's novel and the last film of director Otto Preminger.
