SYNOPSIS

Etudiant à Calcutta, Apu doit abandonner sa licence par manque de moyens. Tentant de vivre de sa passion, l’écriture, il cherche du travail pour payer son loyer. A un mariage auquel il assiste, le marié est déclaré fou et inapte à épouser la jeune fiancée. Apu va donc se marier avec cette inconnue pour sauver son honneur.
