SYNOPSIS

How great is the longing for freedom when one loses it? Chech folk singer and dissident Karel Kryl performs a selection of his own songs in memory of the Soviet invasion of Prague five years earlier. Both Kryl (now residing in West Germany) and Polish director Marzynski had fled from communist oppression (Marzynski at the time had his family in Copenhagen and was building a career in USA).
