SYNOPSIS

Georg and Regine Schlegel, both behavior researchers, die in a traffic accident while their three adult children are making preparations for their 40th wedding anniversary. Old conflicts resurface due to the fact that there seems to be no will and everyone has very different ideas about what should happen to their parents' house. In addition, Leo is Georg's biological daughter, Maren is Regine's biological daughter and Mattes is the only son of both parents. Worrying that they might go away empty-handed, the three of them do things they never thought they could do. Above all, the overly correct Maren does not want to be cheated by her siblings and suppresses the will, which does exist. Nobody yet suspects that Judith, who is accommodated in the Schlegel villa as an art scholarship holder, is a daughter of Georg and thus another heir. The chaos is perfect when it turns out that the house is saddled with a lot of debt. The four must now pull together to save the family inheritance in the interests of their parents.
