SINOPSIS

Pozlaćeni stolac na čijem su sjedištu odloženi cilindar i štap instalacija je koju je Josip Vaništa napravio 1961. godine. Stilski stolac, kao i štap i cilindar, simboli aristokratske elegancije s kraja 19. stoljeća, tada su već odavno bili izvan upotrebe. Sam štap je i neobično dugačak, s dva drška na oba kraja. Na njega se ne može osloniti te je kao pomoć pri hodanju - besmislen. Vrijeme nastanka ove instalacije poklapa se s djelovanjem umjetničke grupe Gorgona čiji je Vaništa aktivan član te jedan od osnivača, a u čijim je djelima često prisutan humor i autoironija.
