SINOPSIS

Jim McColl tackles the age-old question of whether a vegetable patch benefits from digging as he grows a range of veggies side by side on two plots - one of which he digs to within an inch of its life, while the other is left untouched by spade or human. Brian Cunningham, head gardener of Scone Palace, begins his redesign of the Alpine Garden at Beechgrove, and George Anderson visits the magnificent Braco Castle garden, where head gardener Jodie Simpson takes him on a tour.
