SINOPSIS

Documentary examining how post-war Britain went from being a place where eating out was more of a chore than a pleasure to a nation full of foodies who on average spend up to a third of their food budgets on restaurant meals. The programme investigates how Brits' palates have been slowly introduced to a range of culinary delights that once would have been considered `exotic' by successive generations of migrants opening eateries.
