SINOPSIS

Cromwell manoeuvres a bill through Parliament acknowledging Henry as head of the Church of England, the first step in enabling the king to grant his own divorce from Katherine of Aragon. The Boleyn family also looks to the lawyer to deal with Harry Percy, whose wife claims her own marriage is unlawful on the grounds that her husband had previously made a binding contract of marriage with Anne Boleyn. This is a task Cromwell approaches with relish, remembering how Percy helped bring down Wolsey. Historical drama, starring Mark Rylance, Damian Lewis and Claire Foy.
