SINOPSIS

Joe's leave from the Front has come to an end, and despite trying to hide his shell-shock from the family, his mother knows something is seriously wrong. But when Bert tries to help, he only makes matters worse. Meanwhile, the union rep quizzes Grace on working conditions at the factory and she is happy that he seems to be on her side. However, it's only later that his true intentions become clear - it seems the women's working days are numbered. Period drama, starring Maxine Peake, Nico Mirallegro, Bill Jones and John Simm.
