SINOPSIS

London tabloid gossip columnist Peter Carlton (Robert Young), desperate for material while on deadline, begins spinning fanciful tales about a remarkable woman just in from India who is sure to become the toast of the city's smart set, "Mrs. Smythe-Smythe." As Carlton's invented stories of Mrs. Smythe-Smythe's dangerous hobbies and breathtaking beauty become the talk of the town, struggling young chorus girl Elaine Bradford (Jessie Matthews) presents herself as the daring woman.
