SINOPSIS
Mickey Spillane backed this adaptation of one of his lesser-known novels, in which Christopher George plays a man framed for robbery and thereafter recruited by the CIA to head an undercover mission. Stingy on the action, this would-be international drama is more confusing than intriguing, while a ridiculous subplot about an imprisoned scientist seems tacked-on by director Tay Garnett as an excuse to have a bloody jailbreak. This was the last professional assignment for veteran film-maker Raoul Walsh (High Sierra, White Heat), who receives a co-writing credit.
