SINOPSIS
Alex Cox provides some revisionist insight into the mythology of the Hollywood western in this fond, funny road movie. Making stunning use of its Midwest locations, this homage to exploitation cinema follows one-time child actors Del Zamora and Ed Pansullo as they travel to Monument Valley with the latter's spirited daughter (Jaclyn Jonet) to confront Sy Richardson, a prolific pulp screenwriter who once subjected them to a whipping on the set of a low-budget western. Full of knowing digs at contemporary political attitudes and the pedantry of film buffs, it's an offbeat delight.
