The body of the 67-year-old inn owner Arnold Olmützer is found in a pond in the forest on the Hochstein. He was knocked down and then drowned. The hotelier was very popular with his guests, especially with the ladies, the inn, which his son Clemens runs together with his wife Katrin, is well attended. The inspectors "Butsch" Schulz and Viola Delbrück begin their investigations and investigate the history and life of the Olmützer family. Because appearances are deceptive: not much is right in this family. Above it all hangs the death of the patriarch's wife, who suffered from epilepsy and depression and drowned in her own bathtub ten years ago. The eldest son Bastian blamed his father for it and was hunted from the farm. Now he's back. Did he want to avenge his mother's death?
