When a man with multiple sclerosis stops taking his medication, his worried wife contacts Frankie, hoping she can persuade him to get checked out. However, in trying to help, the nurse oversteps the boundaries of patient confidentiality, bringing her into conflict with Dr Evans once again. Meanwhile, Mary tries her best to support a surrogate mother suffering from what she thinks is postnatal depression, and Paula has to tell a woman with terminal cancer that her prognosis is worse than previously thought.
