Returning to his home state, Lieutenant Commander Steven J. McGarrett becomes head of Govenor Jameson's Five-0 task force to investigate the murder of his father, John McGarrett. While investigating the murder Steve McGarrett forms his Five-0 task force, on the task force are Danny "Danno" Williams, Chin Ho Kelly, and Kono Kalakaua. This episode includes building friendships, love, and loss.
