Born in Bonn 1770, Ludwig van Beethoven was introduced to music at the age of five by his artistic father. "The new Mozart", as presented by his master Christian Gottlob Neefe, was spotted by Haydn in 1790 thanks to his funeral cantata in honor of Emperor Joseph II.
