Drive Angry

Milton (Nicholas Cage) is out to save his grandchild from a satanic cult. He is assisted by Amber Heard who is good in her first action role. I'm not really a fan of violent action movies but I enjoyed this darkly comical, way over the top Quentin Tarantino type action thriller.

First of all Nicholas Cage is always good in this type of vendetta action movie. Amber Heard is an almost equal sidekick here and she is both lovely and feisty. Billy Burke (Charlie from Twilight) is a pretty good villain. Liked the muscle cars. The slightly supernatural story makes sense and is quite worthy.

Not suitable for kids as there is violence and nudity. It is actually one of Cage's more violent movies. It wasn't a bit hit at the box office which is unfortunate - maybe it was too violent for a general audience.
