Kaçkar, la Turquie méconnue

ÖZET

A travel through the northern part of Turkey: villages like Petran (2.400 meters above see level) where only few people remain i the winter.Then return at the Black Sea , Surmene, Trabzon,; there we meet craftsmen and fishermen.Then return to the mountains where we can see the harvest of tea leaves, where people arrive with their cattle and produce butter and cheeses. This film also mentions the history of this part of Turkey; the Greeks funded Trabzon, in the mountains some great monasteries (Sumela), near the border with Georgia we see the Georgian influence in the architecture of the houses in the mountains. Turkey is also music : we see traditional dances (bagpipe, kemenche). A documentary with a lot of different landscapes in winter an in the summer.
