SINOPSIS

With footage from present and past expeditions and with dramatic recreations, Finding Amelia follows Ric Gillespie and his team as they travel to Nikumaroro, a remote Pacific island 350 miles from Amelia's last known location. This is where they believe Amelia landed her plane, lived and died as a castaway. On the verge of proving his theory, Ric has uncovered compelling evidence on past expeditions but still lacks hard proof. Determined to discover the fate of this great aviatrix, Ric has returned with the latest in scanning technology and an ambitious plan. Deploying an advanced submersible to search the island's reef for wreckage from Amelia's plane and combing the land for artefacts that may carry her DNA, the team continue their search for the solid evidence they need.
