SINOPSIS

Reading about hunger puts Simon off his food, and his gloom spreads through the family. Matt is worried sick when Shana says they need to take their relationship slowly after doing their laundry together at the Camdens' triggers her: she wonders if she can have a healthy relationship and a happy homelife when she isn't coming from one. The parish receives a §20,000 check from elderly Sachiko Ishida, who refuses to touch it because it's blood money for her family's World War II internment, so Eric asks veteran Henry Muranaka's help. Students shun not only Mary but also her sister Lucy; Ruthie demonstrates the power of passive abuse in kindergarten.
