SINOPSIS

Narrator Julian Rhind-Tutt explores American alternative rock, tracing the history of the underground music scene that launched the careers of many of the 1990s' most successful acts and recalling the dominance of Nirvana and REM. He also reflects on the friendship that formed between frontmen Kurt Cobain and Michael Stipe and considers why the former's suicide in 1994 continues to have an effect on rock.
