SINOPSE

Flint's bombardment wrecks the fort's defenses till he can order his men to the beach. Miranda comes urge him to abandon the assault to save Vane's prisoner, the Carolina governor Peter Ashe's daughter Abigail, but Flint doubts if even her rescue can restore Peter's benevolent attitude, given his recent cruelty towards piracy. They recall how Lord Alfred Hamilton has his son Thomas committed to a lunatic asylum and and disowned Anne as adulteress to cover up Thomas's gay affair with the future Flint. Silver kept Billy chained to assess his attitude towards Flint, but now frees him. Jack saves his captaincy and brothel by accepting the crew's demand to discard Anne.
