SINOPSE

Natasha agrees to Andrei's father's demands that they have a lengthy engagement, but encounters temptation during her fiance's long absence. Countess Rostova and Anna both try to find wealthy wives for their sons, but Nikolai and Boris have their own plans for the future. Pierre is frustrated with his marriage to Helene and longs to find some purpose in his life, while Marya's father becomes increasingly cruel in his treatment of her.
