SINOPSE

Henry does little to hide his disappointment when his queen gives birth to a girl, with Anne aware that her power in court rests on producing a male heir. With the Tudor line remaining vulnerable, Cromwell decrees that everyone in public life must take an oath to recognise Henry's supremacy as head of the English Church, as well as the legality of his marriage to Anne Boleyn, but Thomas More refuses to swear allegiance and is committed to the Tower.
