God Save Texas: The Price of Oil

SINOPSE

Houston-born and raised filmmaker Alex Stapleton turns her lens on her hometown to chronicle the impact of the Texas oil industry on Black and disenfranchised communities. Then, Stapleton widens her focus to show the vital role Black history has played in the Texas oil boom, as well as the depth of suffering caused by the encroachment of local refineries and chemical plants.
